Daniel attends school, where he is seen to take a half-eaten piece of fruit out of a bin, and to eat play jelly which other children were making shapes with. After being collected from school by Luczak, who is caught on CCTV, Daniel is beaten about the head at his home at about tea-time, suffering a fatal brain injury. He is then left to die alone in a box room.
